WOOD PRODUCT INFORMATION

Colorado Cabinet Refacing uses all factory pre-finished premium wood products. We use a water white conversion varnish. This is a high solids, low VOC emissions catalyst hardened product. Stains are lacquer based and applied by spray then hand wiped to achieve maximum grain clarity. The sealer base is a water white catalyzed sanding sealer HAPS free to lower VOC emissions. Sealer is applied at 3-5 mil thickness to achieve a strong bond to the wood and to build grain definition and clarity. The sealed product is then passed through an oven at 110 degrees for 20 minutes to ensure bonding and cure. The product is then seal sanded with 320 grit sand and a conversion varnish top coat is then applied at 5-7 mil thickness. Finally the product is air dried and then oven baked for 20 minutes to ensure a very durable and long lasting finish.
